The internet in Education

The Internet is an important element in the overall educational experience of many teenagers. Schools are a common location where online teens access the web, although very few online teenagers rely exclusively on their school for that web access.  For a growing portion of the online teen population, schools have become an important venue for Internet use for a significant number of teens.

Further, there is widespread agreement among teens and their parents that the internet can be a useful tool for school. However, 37% of teens say they believe that “too many” of their peers are using the internet to cheat. And there is some disagreement among teens and their parents about whether children must be web-literate by the time they begin school.     (reference: by Lee Rainie, Paul Hitlin)

Internet

For me my idea this about the internet is global system of interconnected to all computer networks that use the standard of this IPS which means Internet Protocol Suite. There so many users to serve billions in Worldwide. Networks is consists of millions of private, public, academic, business and government networks, of local to global scope, that are linked by a broad array of electronic, wireless and optical networking technologies. The internet is carries a vast range of information resources and services, such as the interlinked hypertext document of the World Wide Web and the infrastructure to support electronic mail. The internet is full interconnection of the world. I've learned the internet was developed at the University of Minnesota, and it is an easier method of searching for files that looking aroung with FTP means that File Transfer Protocol. FTP had many use it because its used a transferring the file in the internet for example the email you can send or transfer a file in a photos or a music, and the yahoo messenger you can call the person if you need to talk him or her. FTP is convention for connecting computers over a Internet connection in orderr for one computer to transfer files and execute file commands on a different computer. FTP also is a standard that allows for file transfer between two computers. Internet also you can use it through the communication to the other people like chating, calling and more. You can also search in the yahoo or google and etc.

The Internet has no centralized governance in either technological implementation or policies for access and usage; each constituent network sets its own standards. Only the overreaching definitions of the two principal name spaces in the Internet, the Internet Protocol Address space and the Domain name system, are directed by a maintainer organization, the Internet corporation for assigned names and numbers (ICANN). The technical underpinning and standardization of the core protocols is an activity of the Internet Engineering Tast Force (IETF), a non-profit organization of loosely affiliated international participants that anyone may associate with by contributing technical expertise.
